Dr. Sharma is a reference in agri-biotechnology, combining academic-scientific leadership and innovative vision. He is the Director of the Regional Department of Bioengineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro, and a Level 2 member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). He has been invited as a keynote speaker at more than 100 national and international conferences. He has over 110 scientific publications, book chapters, patents, and numerous recognitions and awards, including the National Award for Inspiring Professor, the Academic Excellence Award, the Global Teacher Award, and the Best Researcher Award.
Among his technological contributions are the development of the Paulownia tree clone for reforestation and carbon capture, the creation of the world's first mobile laboratory for plant micropropagation, and innovative solutions to reduce carbon footprints in agricultural practices. In addition, he has promoted technologies for sustainable agriculture and the cultivation of medicinal plants. He is the founder and advisor of agri-biotechnology companies, a consultant for international projects, and an active member of renowned scientific committees and associations, reflecting his commitment to innovation and sustainable development in biotechnology.
