Dr. Alejandro Alagón is a Professor at the Institute of Biotechnology of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), located at Cuernavaca, México.
He received his MD and PhD from UNAM and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Rockefeller University. Dr. Alagón has developed 16 antivenoms for several regions of the world, participated in 17 patents, and published more than 160 papers. He was awarded Mexico’s National Prize for Arts and Sciences in 2005.
