CampusCity - Future and Clean Mobility
The objective is to rapidly advance the development and deployment of sustainable transportation solutions in Mexican cities through research, innovation, collaboration, and training in mobility technology, autonomous vehicles, and vehicle electrification. The project aims to pioneer transformative advancements in clean mobility by leveraging the expertise and training of the new generation of engineers in autonomous and electric vehicles to create safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly transportation systems. The vision is to achieve a future where clean, autonomous, and electric mobility is accessible in Mexican cities, driving a positive social, environmental, and economic impact across the country. This is intended to be achieved through the creation of national laboratories serving industry, research, and academia, as well as living labs in cities.
This project integrates information, data, techniques, tools, perspectives, concepts, or theories from automotive engineering, telecommunications, electronics, electrical engineering, urbanism, social sciences, humanities, and public policy. It is carried out in interaction with distritoTec, the Center for the Future of Cities, as well as national government and industry. It impacts other schools and promotes the fundamental understanding of the socio-technical, socio-ecological, and socio-economic ecosystem of intelligent and safe mobility, addressing basic mobility problems with an interdisciplinary approach.
