Lawyer and Master in Law from the University of Guadalajara with a research focus on the legal framework of Science and Technology in Mexico. She has an intensive postgraduate degree in Copyright and Related Rights from the University of Buenos Aires. She has worked in public service for over 18 years in Federal and State agencies, focusing on the design and implementation of public policies in intellectual property, innovation, science, and technology, which were recognized by the IMPI in 2018 and by the IMCO in 2020 among the best public policies for innovation in Mexico.
She has been a university professor for over 10 years, first at ITESO and later at the University of Guadalajara, in intellectual property and technological innovation management. She is a guest lecturer and speaker at various national universities, including UNAM. She is the author and co-author of chapters in specialized books on intellectual property and scientific entrepreneurship, and of scientific dissemination articles for children and young people in Mural. She is a mentor to promote scientific careers and has participated in WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) as a mentor in the LATAM division and has been a speaker for the MIKTA (Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey, and Australia) working group on technology transfer.
She worked at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property as a Departmental Coordinator. She was in charge of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at CIATEJ AC, and also served as a mentor for various CONACYT centers. She was the Director of Intellectual Property at the Secretariat of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and she is currently the General Director of Science and Technological Development at the same institution.
