Roberto Ponce López. Research Professor at the Center for the Future of Cities (CFC) and at the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His research focuses on the use of Urban Information Systems for planning land use and transportation policies in cities. He is the leader of the research group in City Science at CFC, where he leads an interdisciplinary team of 10 people that offers a quantitative approach to cities.
He currently leads and participates in about ten research projects on topics such as urban expansion simulation, transportation modeling, public space analytics, among others. His academic work has been published in some of the most prestigious journals in urban studies and computational urbanism. Roberto holds a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
