Funding for Research: Practical Guide for Submitting Proposals |
Abraham Tijerina and the team from the Directorate of Research Funding of the VEI will present a practical guide that addresses the complete process for preparing and submitting research proposals to various funding entities, including support tools, specific strategies, and key procedures. The talk will also highlight the available support, both for collaborations with companies and for obtaining grants. Additionally, the use of the SIMPLE platform as the main tool for documenting, tracking, and managing research projects, from the initial proposal to eventual funding and execution, will be explained. During the session, detailed contact information for key individuals who can provide support at each stage of the process will be provided. Examples of the most common problems faced by researchers and how to effectively solve them will also be presented. |

High-Impact and Incidence Research: Advances towards the Tec's 2030 Strategic Plan

The leaders of the EIC research centers (Cristina Chuck, Jürgen Mahlknecht, and Ciro Rodríguez) will present and analyze the strategies each center is implementing to align with the strategic priority of Tec's Strategic Plan 2030: 'Elevate the impact and excellence of our applied research, innovation, and entrepreneurship as differentiators of the university.' Key topics to be addressed include: • Strategies to boost the impact and influence of research through flagship projects that attract external funding, generate innovations, and foster entrepreneurship. • Strengthening strategic alliances with universities, companies, governments, and civil society organizations to enhance research. • The strategy to maximize the impact of innovations and research results, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer. This panel will offer a comprehensive view of the advances and challenges towards the goal of transforming our research into a global-impact change engine. |

Recognition of Excellence in Research by the EIC - 2024 |
In this session, recognition will be given to professors who excelled in the area of research during the year 2024. Achievements in attracting funds and original publications in high-impact scientific journals will be celebrated. Additionally, special recognition will be awarded to professors who were admitted to or promoted in the National System of Researchers, those who joined the Mexican Academy of Sciences, and other members of our community who achieved extraordinary distinctions related to research. |
