He is the Director of Frontier Science at the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation, with a career that combines scientific research with public policy formulation within the science and technology ecosystem in the country. Trained as a physicist at UNAM and holding a Ph.D. from the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University (ASU), he has participated in international projects that promote the social utilization of science and technology, as well as science diplomacy for development.
Currently, he teaches at UNAM, is a member of the Global Young Academy, and is a founding member of FuturoLab, a space dedicated to catalyzing innovation and building future visions. His focus prioritizes the harmonization of scientific knowledge with public policy strategies that promote equity, climate action, and social well-being.
