Dr. Abril Campos is a research professor at the School of Government and Public Transformation and the Institute for Obesity Research, where she directs the Center for Research and Impact on Evidence and Action for Health Equity. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Harvard University and specializes in the implementation of public policies for the improvement of global health.
Her career includes experience working at the World Health Organization in Geneva, the Office of the President of Mexico, and the Carlos Slim Foundation, leading initiatives for universal coverage and system strengthening. She has lived and collaborated in countries such as Ghana, Kazakhstan, and India. She currently leads applied research projects to influence national food policy, focusing her work on health equity.
